The US NABCI Committee’s Executive Council provides leadership to the US NABCI Committee by offering recommendations for potential future directions and priorities for the full Committee’s consideration. The executive council serves as a resource to the US NABCI Coordinator and provides oversight for that position. The Committee facilitates decision making among members in between Committee meetings, but does not possess the authority to make decisions on behalf of the Committee.

The executive council consists of 2 ex officio members and 4 rotating members representative of the breadth of organizations on the full committee.

  • Director of U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service or his/her designee (permanent): Jerome Ford, Assistant Director, Migratory Birds
  • Chair of Association of Fish and Wildlife Agencies Bird Conservation Committee or his/her designee (permanent): Judy A. Camuso, Commissioner, Maine Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife
  • Federal Agency representative: Susan Stine, U.S. Forest Service
  • State Agency representative: Alicia Hardin, Wildlife Division Administrator, Nebraska Game and Parks
  • Non-governmental representative: Tammy VerCauteren, Executive Director, Bird Conservancy of the Rockies
  • Bird Initiative representative: Geoff Geupel, Director of Strategic Partnerships, Point Blue Conservation Science, representing Partners in Flight
